It's Over.
Is it really over though?
The sun doesn’t shine as bright anymore,
the moon doesn’t radiate the light, it’s over.
Do the nights not call you back,
like they did when our shadows would overlap?
On my rooftop, where we stiched our dreams,
you spoke of stars, I watched you breathe.
Do the echoes still reach your chest
or am i just a ghost you laid to rest?
You were the soft in all my scars,
my safest space, my northern star.
the friendship died the night we kissed
you know i love you,
i know you never did.
We sat where the sky forgot to blink,
two souls, one breath,
heartbeats in sync.
You leaned back like nothing burned,
while i memorised the way you turned.
We sat where the sky forgot to blink,
two souls, one breath,
heartbeats in sync.
But only one was breaking slow,
you leaned in close with no way to know.
We sat where the sky forgot to blink,
two souls, one breath,
heartbeats in sync.
You spoke like night was just something to pass,
while i held on to every moment like it might be our last.
You stayed in the moment,
I stayed in the ache.
Loving you softly was my biggest heartbreak.
You know i loved you,
I know you never did.
So no,
The sun doesnt shine as bright anymore.
and the moon?
It doesn’t wait by my door.
IT’S OVER.
